Le Mans by private jet

Fly by private jet to Le Mans airport with Eurosky and get to the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit as quickly as possible. Every year, Eurosky charters a number of aircraft for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the most famous endurance race in the world. This article explains how to get to Le Mans by private jet.

Which is the closest airport to  Le Mans circuit?

Le Mans Arnage ( IATA :LME, ICAO :LFRM) is the preferred airport for getting to Le Mans.   Located 5 km from the town and right next to the circuit, Le Mans Arnage airport has the particularity of having a very short runway of 1420 mts.  This is why not all operators can operate there, especially in bad weather. Indeed, rain could be operationally restrictive for jet aircraft.

Le Mans Arnage airport opening times:

In principle, the airport is open from 9am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 6pm. However, an exemption is possible in order to extend the opening hours, particularly during the 24 Hours of Le Mans weekend. Flights generally operate from 8am until before nightfall.

Alternative airports:

Angers or Tours are sometimes used to fly to Le Mans.

  • those are used  for the lack of available slots in Le Mans Arnage,
  •  take advantage of a longer runway (Tours has a 2400-metre runway), particularly in bad weather or for larger capacity or longer flights (more passengers and more fuel on board)
  •  To have access to a parking space if there are none available in Le Mans.

Who are we flying for at Le Mans airport by private jet with Eurosky?

We fly to Le Mans 99% of the time during the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This is why we operate flights for people who have an interest in the race.

We transport VIPs linked to a brand as well as groups invited by sponsors of the 24h. Team managers and, of course, drivers also come to us for help in getting to this gruelling race in the best possible conditions.

Type of private aircraft we use to fly at Le Mans:

Any type of aircraft can operate at Le Mans but the short runway and weather conditions can limit operations. Indeed, with a short runway or a runway shortened by longer braking distances (wet runway), operations become more complicated and can sometimes become impossible,

This is why the use of a turboprop aircraft (propeller plane) can become a safer choice to operate from Le Mans Arnage.

Example of Turbopropellers we use to fly to Le Mans:

  • PilatusPC 12  for up to 8 passengers
  • Beech king air 200 for up to 8 passengers
  • Beechcraft 1900 D for groups of people up to 19
  • Dornier 328 for groups of people until 32
